World Book Day Costumes
Do you have big plans for World Book Day? Sounds like a great idea to us! We’re all about what happens when kids get into the magic and exploration involved in reading a good, excellently awesome book. So naturally, we think World Book Day is a fantastic feat. Of course, we think there’s another, awesome way that kiddos can celebrate the day, too. With a costume!
Having the young ones dress up in costume is the best way to help them explore the wonderful world of reading, and if you’re not quite convinced, well, just wait until you see the curious costume selections we have in this category. They’re really quite fantastic! We have costumes for kids that will let them explore the wonderful world of books, one character at a time!
Start them out with one of our favorites if you’re so inclined, we really do think it’s an epic selection. Naturally, we’d start any kiddo out right with one of the greatest characters of children’s books ever to appear in print. Curious George! This funky monkey has been helping kids learn since he first appeared in 1941. He started out being captured by the Man with the Yellow Hat, and the two of them had many adventures back in the zoo, the big city, and at the Man with the Yellow Hat’s house! Our curious George costume for toddlers is sure to be just the thing to pique your child’s curiosity. This fleece costume is cuddly and cute, and a great choice for World Book Day!
Another equally awesome choice would be a more modern tale, like the Hunger Games. This young adult series from author Suzanne Collins has excited children worldwide by reading about the action-packed adventures of Katniss Everdeen! Any young girl is sure to have an extra special World Book Day by dressing up as Heroine Katniss, so we think one of our girl’s Hunger Games costumes is really going to be a great choice! They’re officially licensed, and look just like Katniss appears in the films as played by Jennifer Lawrence!
Maybe the kiddos are more into magic and wizardry, and if that’s the case, there’s only one book series for them. Harry Potter! The beloved franchise from J.K. Rowling has spawned plenty of films to match the books, but in our view, the magic is best enjoyed from the pages of her novels. Our Harry Potter costumes for kids can turn your entire family into wizards in training. No muggles here! The only thing you’ll have to decide is which house to have them join. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Hmmm… decisions, decisions!
