Although these are plastic, they're well painted and have a lovely pewter look to them. Unfortunately, the integral tealights and "glass" panels let them down. One light didn't work at all, so I had to unscrew the whole lantern to get inside to fix it. The tealight is held in place with some very lightweight black plastic - more like the stuff you'd throw away rather than part of the product. The light given off is bright white rather than a warm glow which is a bit of a shame. However, the real disappointment is the state of the clear panels, all of which are scuffed & scratched to all over. They needed either a protective film or better packing for storage & transit.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?
